What does the service cost?
The employers are our clients and we charge them for our service. Candidates per se pay no fees for getting a job overseas. There might be nominal fees for premium services such individual counselling and cultural preparations.
Do I need to speak German?
English has become the working language in many companies. Basic German will increase your prospects but is not a must. IELTS is NOT required for employment or immigration to Germany, if you work in a tech job.
What documents do I need?
Once you get an offer letter from your future employer, the process can start. You must apply for a visa and a residence permit before travelling to Europe. You must approach the German embassy or consulate in India with the following documents:
- Job offer letter from the firm in Germany
- Valid passport
- Certificates of academic qualification
- Certificates of work experience
The legal process might take up two to three months which more or less correlates with the notice period at your current job.
How much do I earn?
Gross salaries in the tech sector in Germany reach from € 50k to 80k gross. Net salaries depend on the individual tax rate and should be around €30k to 50k per annum.
As a resident of Germany/Austria you are eligible for free healthcare, childcare and education. Furthermore the employer contributes to your pension fund, you are eligble for payouts when retiring or leaving the country.
What is the cost of living?
The cost of living depends very much on the city and your personal choices when it comes to lodging. As a single you can calculate approx. 1,000 Euro per month.
What about my spouse / kids?
Your spouse and kids can apply for a residency at the same time. Your spouse will be getting a work permit as well.
